Two journals, a newsletter and a conference
Just a quick blog I'm afraid - but readers of Histomat might be interested to note that the latest issues of Socialist Register (on 'The Crisis and the Left') and Race and Class (on 'Black History, Black Struggle') are now online, as is the new issue of the London Socialist Historians Group newsletter - and finally registration is now open for this years Historical Materialism conference in London in November. I wish I could say I was off to occupy the London Stock Exchange, but sadly my life is not quite that exciting...

What's up with ISJ? Isn't it time for a new issue? Or has the publication schedule or frequency change?
A good question. The new ISJ is out in hard copy and will be up online any day now...
BTW, still loving the blog. I can't admit to being very on the ball with things...bogged down in my union these days. Curious - is Occupy Wall Street big news across the pond? It's the only thing going on here and has spread to hundreds of towns and cities, most of the occupations kicking off tomorrow, Oct.15. I know the Vancouver and Toronto actions have already drawn mass meetings in the hundreds...I'm starting to feel good again after a few tough years of organized labour taking a beating and the social movements being disorganized and weak...
Good stuff - its really been over the last week or so that people in the UK have heard more and more about the global occupation movement - and there were several thousand I gather in London yesterday. Glad you seem a little more optimistic now about stuff in Canada...
