No, the rich get richer and the 'poor' get richer. Ask your Grandad!
Yes, large sections the poor might richer over time but relative to rising wealth of the rich it is hardly much to celebrate, as I am sure my Grandad were he still alive would be angry about. In fact over the past 30 years or so thanks to the politics of Thatcherism and her ilk we have seen an enormous redistribution of wealth from the poorest sections of society to the richest...
No! In the UK there are virtually no 'poor', there are only those who are less rich than the wealthy.
What you are complaining about amounts to good old-fashioned envy. Were we to follow you bitter precepts, of course, what you call the 'poor' would become impoverished. Ask any Chinese over the age of 50!
