Toilet humour

Some of you no doubt are already familiar with this, but for those who are not I highly recommend reading Mike Haynes on 'Toilet Paper Usage in the Former Soviet Bloc and the Transition'...

Not strictly germane, but Eastern people do not use toilet paper - in fact they find it unclean and uncivilised to do so, preferring water (hence the empty milk bottles carried around by British of sub-continental origin).

Immediately after the Tsunami in Sri Lanka, many of the victims were amused to find themselves flooded with rolls of toilet paper, for which they had no earthly use.

Perhaps this little anecdote may be of interest, especially since Tony Blair seems to consider lecturing Putin on 'Western Values' of immense import.
